The most important part about being a nanny...
There are so many important parts and of course safety first. But for me building a trusting relationship is one of my top priorities. I've spent 20 years doing Senior Care most of my clients were memory care which included Alzheimer's and Dementia. I have lots of patience and building the relationship was always most important. Once you have the bonded trust with one another it makes a world of difference. I have great recommendations and that field personally and through my directors. Have always had an absolutely fantastic relationship with the families of my clients. I take the job of caring for people very seriously and I have a huge passion people.
My experience with special needs children...
I don't have much experience with special needs children. But I have had classmates of my children that were special needs that I did very well with. When my children were going up we spent a lot of time at church I also interacted with special needs children there as well helped out in the child care sector through my church voluntarily and special needs children were there and I did very well with them. Extended family friends and cousin-laws have had special needs children and my interaction and care for them went well also.
