A little bit about me

I have been working with kids in one capacity or another since my high school years. Since moving to LA nearly 7-years ago I have found myself in the "nannying" field. It's different than working at a childcare center, but I dare to say that I enjoy it more. During my nannying ventures I have worked with boys from the age of 3 to the age of 13. I bring a tremendous amount of patience to the table, as well as a fun-loving, joyful attitude. I am also very active/athletic, and enjoy engaging the kids in physical activities. I spent a year as a teaching assistant for a second grade classroom. In college, I also worked at a daycare and as an in-home aid for children with autism.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I especially like doing outdoor activities with kids such as hiking, sports, swimming, etc. Indoors, I am alway game for a good puzzle and encouraging kids in what they are passionate about.

I was an in-home aid for children with autism for six years prior to moving to LA. I was responsible for working on different goals set by the parents the the children's case manager. Whether it be social skills, life-skills, hygiene, etc.
