A little bit about me

Hi, I have been a nanny and a Waldorf and Montessori early childhood teacher for 12 years.
I love working with children especially ages 3-8. I love their sense of wonder, their creativity, their warmth, and their ability to engage and learn through play. While living in Cambridge, Massachusetts, I nannied for a 4yr old and 6yr old girl, as well as their baby brother once he was born. Our daily rhythms involved school pickup, outdoor play, snacks, indoor play, dinner, a bath, and bedtime.
I believe in open-ended, child-led play, and spending lots of time in nature. I have enjoyed running children's summer camps, taught art and handwork for many years, and enjoy nurturing children's creativity. As a teacher, I fostered predictable daily and weekly rhythms, offered circle time, oral storytelling, songs, held loving boundaries, offered empathy, kindness, and celebrating each child's unique gifts.
