My experience with special needs children...

’ve been involved with children with special needs since middle school through a program called Best Buddies. That experience taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and genuine understanding. For me, it’s not about focusing on limitations — it’s about listening, connecting, and learning how each child communicates and expresses themselves. I value meeting every child where they are and supporting them in a way that makes them feel seen, heard, and understood.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments as a nanny was when the two girls I cared for told me, the week before I left for college, that they wished I was their sister so I couldn’t leave. It was such a touching reminder of the bond we built over the years and how much love and trust can grow through everyday moments together. Knowing that I made that kind of impact on their lives—and they on mine—reminded me why I love working with children and being part of their world.
