I recently returned to the US after spending 17 years abroad. The families I nannied for over the last 3 years came up with a plan to throw me a surprise going-away party.
One evening, I thought I was going to babysit one of the kids.
When I opened the door, the parents, all three kids, my sister, and my partner shouted "SURRRRPPPRRIIISEEE NIKKI!".
I was speechless. I never imagined we would all be together under one roof. It was amazing to see the kids interacting with one another.
It's a moment I will cherish forever.
