Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have nannied for several families for long term periods (up to 5 years) at a time. I have worked within 2 child care centers where I taught children 1.5-2 years old. I then moved into pre-k, where I was a lead teacher for 3 years. While working within various childcare and preschool settings, I obtained my Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education, where I also obtained my teaching license. My hope and dream is to open up my own preschool, within 2-5 years. I truly enjoy working with smaller groups of children so that I can provide the individualized care and attention that is very important during the early stages of a Childs development and learning experiences. I believe in implementing a educational approach to my child care, and I enjoy engaging children in project based, hands on learning experiences, and in process over product creative experiences which really allow the children to explore the world around them a comfortable pace for them.

I enjoy project based/hands on learning experiences. I believe in the importance of play and understand how play is a vital part to a Childs early development and learning. I love engaging children in process over product projects, which allow the children to express themselves in a way that they choose. I love to be outdoors and give the children a chance to also explore their outside world and nature.
