I'm a kid at heart and love all kinds of kid friendly adventures, going on walks, taking a trip to the park, swimming, biking and basically anything outside. I also love having some indoor fun reading books and making crafts!
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for several special needs children on the autistic spectrum from nonverbal to verbal. Some with other medical needs as well who needed medication administration and a bit more hands on care! In my experience routine is most important and I love interacting with the children in whatever way they are most comfortable with! Learning their specific behaviors and how they cope with certain situations is best to try and find a safe and meaningful solution to any situation!
