My experience with special needs children...
My cousin is autistic and I used to watch over him when my auntie would go to work. At first it was difficult to manage as special need kids can be energetic and agitated but I got the hang of it after a few weeks. I believe that they are special in their own ways and all it takes is understanding and patience to be able to bond and watch over a special need child.
