I have a lot of babysitting experience. I started babysitting when I was 14 years old. I was the primary babysitter for multiple families in my neighborhood until I left for college.
I am currently working as a live-in au pair for a family in the DC area.
I have always loved kids and long term I would like to work with them. I'm interested in social work and maybe something related to foster care.

Honestly, whatever the kids like to do most, because if they are doing an activity that they enjoy doing, that brings me joy.
An activity I try to incorporate with every kid I take care of is reading. I personally really enjoy reading, and I think it is so important for kids to read. It is beneficial on so many different levels.
I am a very active and athletic person. So if the kids like to go outside to play or do sports, I am all for that.

Making sure the kids feel safe around me. Setting a good example. I think this is bigger than just a job; being a nanny is a big responsibility, and I think that if you do it right, you can make such a positive impact on a child.

I am currently working as an au pair for a family with 2 boys, a 4-year-old, and an 11-month-old. Very soon after arriving, I realized that the 11-month-old loves making sounds and beats. I started playing baby songs on Spotify. I taught him how to clap whenever the song "If You're Happy and You Know It" is playing, and it is the most adorable thing ever.
