Hi! My name is Nikki, and I’m a 25-year-old childcare professional with 2 years of experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 2 years old. I have experience as a preschool teacher assistant, where I’ve helped create a safe, loving, and engaging environment for young children while supporting their development through play, learning activities, routines, and positive guidance.

I’m CPR certified and have completed my 45-hour DCF childcare training. I’m passionate about caring for children and love helping them learn, explore, and feel confident.

Families can expect me to be dependable, patient, nurturing, and someone who truly treats every child with the same care and attention I would want for my own family. I’m currently available for daytime nannying Monday–Friday until 4 PM, as well as date nights and weekend care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

For infants, I enjoy creating activities that support their development while keeping them engaged and comfortable. Some activities I love doing include tummy time with sensory toys and mirrors, reading board books, singing songs and nursery rhymes, practicing baby sign language, playing peek-a-boo and other interactive games, exploring different textures through sensory play, encouraging movement through gentle stretching and music, and using age-appropriate toys to help develop fine motor skills, curiosity, and early communication.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about working with children is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where they feel seen, heard, and valued. Every child develops at their own pace, so it’s important to be patient, understanding, and encouraging while helping them learn and grow. I believe building trust and a strong connection with each child is the foundation for helping them feel confident, comfortable, and excited to explore the world around them.

My experience with special needs children...

While I have not had extensive experience working specifically with children with special needs, I understand that every child has unique needs, abilities, and ways of learning. I believe children with special needs deserve extra patience, understanding, encouragement, and individualized care. I am willing to learn from each child, follow guidance from parents and caregivers, and create a safe, supportive environment where they feel valued, included, and loved.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite classroom moments was watching the children reach new developmental milestones throughout the year. Seeing a child who was once nervous become comfortable in the classroom, make friends, communicate their needs, and gain independence was so rewarding. I loved creating special memories through songs, sensory activities, story time, and play while watching their confidence and personalities grow.
