My experience with special needs children...
I also have personal experience caring for and understanding children with special needs. I have a 9-year-old brother who is nonverbal and autistic, and I’ve been his safe person and one of his biggest sources of support since the day he was born. Growing up with him has taught me a lot about patience, communication, understanding different needs, and creating a calm and comfortable environment. I’m comfortable being attentive to nonverbal communication and making sure a child feels safe, respected, and cared for.
