As the first daughter of 4 siblings (2 girls and a boy) raised in a Nigerian home, you needed to take up the responsibility of caring for your younger ones as the "third-in-command" when your parents needed to work overtime or when your younger cousins came over; from cooking for them, preparing their things for school, to helping with their assignments, playing with them and listening to them as their creative minds run out of this world! They have the cutest stories to tell 🙂. I have successfully looked over my siblings for the past 20 years; and, they all turned out great!

I believe when it comes to taking care of children, irrespective of their gender or age, patience, empathy, and kindness are major traits one must possess. You will need patience to understand the child and their needs, empathy to communicate with them by listening and validating their feelings and kindness to nurture them into being the best they can be, thus providing an enabling environment for them to excel
