Hello! I am currently a student at Agnes Scott College, and I am looking to get back into childcare. I babysat throughout high school, and have experience with special needs children. I have formerly been certified for CPR and First Aid and am renewing my certification in the coming weeks. In my spare time I like to cook, read and spend time in nature. I am well versed in animal care in addition to childcare as well.

I have worked as a nanny/babysitter in both spot jobs and more long term arrangements. I have also worked as a camp counselor and tutor for children under 13!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I have a love for education and enjoy teaching children basic academics and life skills. The activities I enjoy doing with children include nature activities, going to the library, baking, and learning fun board games!

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters to me most as a nanny is connecting with the children in my care by making them feel safe. Other than the obvious physical safety, I strive for an environment where children feel encouraged to be their authentic selves and are comfortable in my company. I take pride in being able to provide teaching moments and build self esteem in children in constructive, healthy ways.

My experience with special needs children...

My experience with special needs children includes developmental/learning disabilities and visual impairment. I have mainly worked with children that have autism and ADHD. I also have experience caring for children with other undiagnosed disabilities, and have worked with parents to find ways to support them through their medical journey.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment is probably bonding with a child that had an affinity for the outdoors and exchanging facts about nature. He told me about all the books he read about bugs and plants and we went outside and spent the day identifying creatures together!
