More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My early years of high school included small babysitting jobs usually with children from 5-8 years old where I would provide tutoring, cook dinner meals, bedtime routines, and playing! I then worked as a high school aide for an elementary after school program where I attended to large groups of children (pre-k to 6th graders) for tutoring, arts & crafts, group play time, cleaning, and attending to my program aide. I also have experience with summer camps where I’ve taught upwards of 100 kids (6-14 year olds) how to surf.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love outdoor play and exploring but I have no problem staying inside and letting creativity run wild. I have tons of ideas for arts & crafts/games to keep kids occupied and interested for hours. Being active physically and mentally is my specialty.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked closely with children with Down syndrome, autism, and or ADHD. I have adored every special needs child I have had the pleasure of looking after. Patience and care is a big part of my personality which I have learned to be vital when working with special needs children.
