Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was an Assistant Child Care Teacher through Hawkeye Child Development Center for 10 months, and a Child Care Teacher for 5 months in LaPorte with Little Knights Learning Center. I have worked with kids between the ages of 2 months and 5 years, with the most experience working with 1 year olds. I know cpr and first aid, I can serve meals, and I am used to performing diaper changes on a schedule. I am also comfortable watching multiple kids at once.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love painting with safe paints and making a mess, (that I then clean up,) making forts can be exciting when done safely, and reading can always be fun if you have the right stories! I also enjoy some other activities such as dancing, playing age appropriate board games, and bubbles. You are never too old for bubbles.
The most important part about being a nanny...
It is important to like working with children, and be able to communicate with them effectively. Children do not follow rules they don't understand, especially if they don't like them. It is important to see them and treat them as humans. Not adults, humans.
