"Im always hesitant with whom I hire to help with my kids. Thank God I found Olivia. On top of being punctual and great with communication, my girls loved her and she loved them. She pretty much became part of the family. Anyone who hires this amazing human will be making the right choice and should consider themselves lucky."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Nanny of 2 beautiful sisters since they were 3 and 6 years old until present (4years).
I have babysat since I was 12. I am also a mom of 2 and surrogate to all my children's friends. Kids are my passion. I have an endless supply of love and patience. I interact with them, read to them, sing and dance, create art, play dress up and tea party and teach them how to cook, I teach kids age appropriate things.
My daughter was peeing in the toilet at 6 months old, out of diapers all day at 10 months, completely out of diapers at 1 year. She spoke very well from 1.5/2 years old. I made all my kids meals from scratch, never fed them baby food. As soon as they could walk I taught them to pick up their toys, from there all age appropriate tasks like brush their teeth, pick out their clothes, etc. At age 4 they learned how to cook scrambled eggs. Anything they're capable of doing I taught them to do. They are very independent, have 4.0 gpa's. My daughter has 2 jobs and her own place.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Reading books, painting, drawing, playing the guitar, singing, dancing, cooking, treasure hunting outside and inside, watching videos together, age appropriate activities. Walking outside and talking about the animals we see, playing with squirt guns or water balloons, homework, talking about their day and their futures, if they have things they struggle with I am a great listener and I am always positive. I have a solution for every problem and I am a wealth of knowledge which I have always shared with all the kids in my life (always age appropriate), to me safety is my #1 priority. If they do something wrong I explain why it was wrong and what they should or could have done differently that would be better. I educate kids so that they can make wise decisions and understand why things happen and how to prevent or deal with things that have or could happen. I prefer to talk to them rather than punish them but sometimes a time out is necessary.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure the kids are safe, fed healthy food, have plenty of interaction, they are sponges, learning everything for the first time, I love to educate them as well as learn from them.
Teaching them age appropriate tasks, the do's and dont's in everyday life as they know it, feeding their minds as well as their bodies, consistency, patience, routine, and love.
To cheer them on and pick them up when they fall. Teach them why things are the ways that they are.

My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with disabled people for over 15 years. 2 of my best friends rely on mobility scooters to get around. I have worked with elderly as well. I have bathed them, helped them to get dressed, to eat, to get in and out of cars, I am very nurturing0, and a natural born caregiver. I'm always looking out for the people who are depending on others no matter what the setting even if it not required of me. I feel like I am capable of helping and they need help so I volunteer.
I do not treat people with disabilities like they are different from anyone else. I do however tend to their specific needs. I just like to make them feel as "normal" as possible. If they have special needs physically I cater to their needs and if they have mental and/or emotional delays I treat them accordingly to what age their development is at.
I believe in boosting all children's confidence and letting them know they are loved and they bring joy into my life and their friends and family members lives.

The most important part about being a nanny...
There are so many! However, I adore the first 10 years so much because they are learning everything for the first time. Watching them experience things for the first time and seeing them light up aver the simplest of things. Especially when they realize that they accomplish something new
They always seem to do something that brings so much joy into my life.
Watching them overcome obstacles, figure out puzzles, seeing them interact with other kids, animals and nature. I love how much love they give. The hugs and kisses from little kids just makes my heart melt. Kids are truly the best!! All ages are great. All ages have their own milestones. I really love seeing them achieve them.
