Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

In Cuba, only a 12th-grade diploma is required to hold almost any job. I spent about two years working with children requiring special attention. Then I became a physical education teacher for children in grades 1 through 6, which is considered primary school in Cuba. Later, I earned a degree in microprocessor operation and became a computer lab technician, teaching adolescents in grades 9 through 12. I also earned degrees in Gastronomy and Comprehensive Business B, and I did receive degrees in the latter.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy reading stories; it was my favorite thing to do as a child. My grandparents and my mother read to me before bed. I also enjoy preparing dinner and having them help me with the process; it helps them become more independent. I help them exercise while playing to develop their motor skills and coordination. I teach them important skills like swimming, climbing, and stealth. It's important for a child to know how to hide, and also to build some stamina in case they have to run. I make it seem like a game, so they grow stronger while having fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The best part of caring for a child is contributing to their development. I've always wanted to be the older brother, and caring for the little ones makes me feel like I am, in part. I love seeing their amazement when they discover something new, and they're the most sincere when it comes to communicating. I greatly admire children and believe that good care and ensuring they don't feel alone is very important for good emotional development.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The catapult spoon. Once, while feeding a little one, he threw a piece of fruit with the spoon he was holding and it hit me right in the nose. It was fun, haha
