A little bit about me

I am a graduated elementary teacher with a Bachelors of Science who has dedicated their life to the safety and well being of your children! I take pride in guiding children through life with a positive outlook, embracing the outdoors, and encouraging a life long love of learning.
I have been a nanny for a decade now and I love every minute of it, I typically care for infants until school age and cater our activities to their current level of development. I enjoy bringing education into a lot of what we do and encourage movement and self expression at all ages. I look forward to finding another wonderful family to grow and learn with here in my home town!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I currently work as a nanny in Seattle, Washington. I have worked with and cared for children for over 10 years. I was a nanny for two for 5 years previously, and have loved every moment I have been given. I spent two years substitute teaching in the Gallatin Valley before moving out of state and spent a summer during college caring for the developmentally disabled in Billings, MT.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy showing children all sides of the world we share. We spend our days going to the park, science centers, museums, and libraries. We explore nature preserves, hike trails, and conquer new obstacles daily. I love to bring learning wherever we go and enjoy setting a dedicated portion of our time together to growth and development catered to each child and their needs and interests.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is caring for the safety and well being of the children and supporting their growth and development with the things we do in our time together. Finding ways to show up and be present for them, cultivating steady routines, healthy meals, adventures that are engaging and rewarding. To help guide children through the ups and downs of human emotion and the difficulties that come with communicating and overcoming obstacles in our everyday lives.

My experience with special needs children...

I have taken multiple courses on Special Education and working with special needs children. I also spent a summer working in a home for the developmentally disabled so I have knowledge of personal care as well as education.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I couldn't pick just one! Every day with the kids something magical happens or there are opportunities to teach and grow along side each other. To be a safe space and a person that a child and their family can lean on is truly a special role to play and I am grateful for every opportunity I get to continue to build and cultivate happy healthy relationships for a lifetime.
