Provided care for the infants, including sleeping training, assisting mothers with nursing, changing diapers, keeping the nursery clean and organized, preparing bottles, taking the baby to the pediatrician, doing laundry, and monitoring the baby’s nap times and the amounts of formula and water.

Managed schedules, including planning activities, driving, and picking him up from events like sports and school.
Helped with homework and special projects.
Performed light housecleaning, laundry, vacuuming, and tidied kids' areas.
Organized, shopped for, and prepared breakfast, lunch, and
dinner.
Helped with discipline and to create a predictable and safe routine.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy participating in activities that provide physical, emotional, and intellectual support for children's development by offering opportunities tailored to each stage of their lives. I pay attention to children's cues and try to adjust each activity to their personal needs. I carefully curate activities that foster their sense of community and immerse them in the local culture and environmental awareness. It includes taking them to local farmers' markets, attending art exhibitions, participating in initiatives to collect trash and objects from local beaches, and turning them into art. I encourage kids to feel safe and independent by teaching good manners, routine, respect, and that learning is a fun process. I encourage kids to be curious about the universe that they live in by introducing them to notions about the digestive system and the importance of eating healthy meals. In teaching children emotional regulation and knowing the importance of early childhood for future adults.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Commitment, trustworthiness, transparency, and a sense of humor are invaluable, too.

My experience with special needs children...

I have supported kids with ADHD, depression, anxiety, grief, and learning disabilities. I partnered with parents and healthcare providers to ensure that medication and emotional support were available within the household. I have prepared special meals for kids with allergies and prepared tailor-made menus for those with ADHD (sugar is bad for those kids) and some with anemia. Children with special needs benefit from learning how to regulate their emotions and appreciate activities such as soft music, breathing exercises, a predictable routine, and calming baths. I am committed to offering my very best to children to the extent that I became a Grief Educator to support one of my kids who lost his parents in a car crash.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To help kids take advantage of their full potential and learn to learn something new when we spend time together.

Genesis N. - Seeking Work in San Francisco

Full-Time Nanny Available in San Francisco, CA: Genesis N.

Hi! I’m a CPR-certified mom to a 2-year-old daughter and I’m looking for a family that’s open to a nanny mom setup where my daughter can come with me. I genuinely enjoy being around kids and creating a calm, fun, home-like environment for them instead of just sitting inside all day.

I enjoy age-appropriate outdoor activities, parks, reading, learning through play, and engaging children in fun everyday activities, snack/lunch prep, and little adventure days. I also enjoy teaching younger kids simple things throughout the day like colors, shapes, counting, phonics, letters, and basic learning through play and everyday activities.

I’m naturally patient, nurturing, and very used to caring for toddlers full-time. I’d love to find a family that likes the idea of their child having companionship, outdoor experiences, learning, and a more warm and engaging environment throughout the day.

Kate M. - Seeking Work in San Francisco

Full-Time Nanny Available in San Francisco, CA: Kate M.

Hi! My name is Kate and I'm currently I’m taking a gap year before continuing to law school next fall. As a caregiver I really enjoy getting to know who the child really is so that I can meet at their level to be as helpful as possible. I love to have fun and explore with the kids I work with, even if it means jumping in muddy puddles outside. I am incredibly organized, on top of schedules, and am more than happy to help with a bit of housework. My schedule is very flexible so if there is a spontaneous date night or Sunday playdate, I am happy to jump in to help ease your world.
Prior to this past summer I don’t have much formal childcare experience, however I’ve been babysitting on and off since I was in high school. Over the summer I was a camp counselor for 3-6 year olds at the Greensboro Country Club and I also worked in their drop in daycare center which took kids 6 weeks-10 years. I would love the opportunity to get to know you and your family more, so feel free to reach out!
