The most important part about being a nanny...
The role is meaningful because you have the opportunity to influence a child’s confidence, emotional development, and memories of childhood. Many children may not remember every activity or lesson, but they often remember the adults who made them feel safe, loved, and capable.
My experience with special needs children...
Experienced in providing care for children with autism, with a patient, compassionate, and individualized approach to supporting their unique needs. Delivering care which focuses on supporting daily routines, communication, sensory needs, and positive behavior strategies.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my most memorable and sweetest moments was when the 6-year-old girl I babysat asked me to stay a little longer past my usual shift so I could be there through her bedtime routine and until she fell asleep. She wanted me to be the last person she saw at night and the first person she saw when she woke up in the morning.
Before long, this became our special routine. We started having monthly sleepover parties while her parents enjoyed a well-deserved night out. Those nights may have included very little sleep, but they were filled with meaningful conversations, learning moments, laughter, and memories that we will always cherish.
