My experience with working with children started when I was 12. This is when I began to babysit for neighbors and family friends. In the summers of 2017 and 2021 I worked for a summer camp in Colorado called Avid4 Adventure, where I helped kids have fun outside doing activities like kayaking, biking, canoeing, stand-up paddle boarding, rock climbing, and hiking, while also teaching them about taking care of the environment. From October 2021 until February 2022, I worked at Jefferson County Open School as a Paraprofessional helping out middle school students in classrooms with class work.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy playing outside with children when the weather permits. This involves playing games like tag, kickball, make-believe, etc. When the weather does not permit outside play, I love doing art projects inside, making pillow and blanket forts, hide-n-seek, watching movies, or board games.
