I have an associate degree in early childhood education. I worked as a special education assistant for 3 years in my local school. I was a toddler teacher at a daycare center. I have 20 years of full time nanny experience. I taught Sunday school and I volunteered in the nursery at my church.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy playing outside, going for walks, going to the park and libraries. Reading books, singing songs, working on puzzles and art projects. Teaching children their colors, shapes, numbers and letters. Working on learning to read. I enjoy just hanging out and having fun.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important thing about being a nanny is being able to guide a child on a life long journey of learning and enjoying being inquisitive about what is around them. It is also about providing for the child’s emotional, physical and psychological needs to support their development and make them feel safe, secure and loved.

I have worked with children who have autism, Down’s syndrome, behavioral issues and children who have attention deficit disorder. Mostly in the school system and some in the community.

My favorite moment is when you see a child succeed in mastering a task or skill that they had been struggling with and the joy and excitement that comes when they realize that they now can do it.
