A little bit about me

Hello, my name is Perla, I am a 34 yr old compassionate Bakersfield resident. I have 3 children of my own in every stage, ages 7, 15 and 18. I m also a 4th time gestational surrogate. Professionally I have done a little bit of everything from direct support care for children and adults with autism and special needs to enhanced care in case management, over 7 years in advocacy work with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and those experiencing homelessness in our community. I did many hours of volunteer work in head starts and elementary school while my children were in their early years of school. Over all working with people has tugged a few heart strings and I love the care field. I am First Aid and CPR certified and I will carry my SaveMec anti choking device with me. In February I stepped down from my former position as a CAL-Aim coordinator to focus on my family and be more present so momentarily looking to be of service in childcare until I return to work full time.
