The most important part about being a nanny...

Compassion. Patience. Remembering that kids are kids and will sometimes act out out of frustration or learning to express their feelings, communicate frustrations and to feel safe and understood, never just to be “mean” or “bratty” so having the patience and compassion during tantrums and other moments, goes a long way!!

My experience with special needs children...

Worked with a 4 year old boy on the autism spectrum and an 11yr old boy with ADHD.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Putting together science projects and presenting them at school, screaming their names out at school concerts and plays, teaching them South African childhood games, playing dress up, long drives to interstate competitions for sports (ski, diving, ballet, gymnastics, tennis, swimming, softball, basketball) and coming up with Halloween costume and makeup ideas!!!
