I worked as a counselor-in-training, counselor, and art instructor at Bay Club Gateway day camp from the ages of [phone number hidden]). As a CIT and counselor, I lead groups of 10-15 kids (aged 3-12) through our daily activities. From 2021-22, I worked as the Art Teacher, a leadership role that enabled me to plan and teach a new arts-and-crafts project everyday (e.g. jewelry making, collage, paper chain animals...) to groups of 15-25 kids at a time.
During the summer of 2023, I worked as a counselor and art instructor at Two Rivers Sleepaway Soccer Camp for 9 weeks. In addition to helping the kids on a logistical level, I also helped many of them navigate the emotional transition of being away from their homes and their families for the first time.
Lastly, I volunteered with the National Charity League for 6 years [phone number hidden]), where I worked with kids at local organizations such as Hamilton House, Family House, and the Brady Riding Program.

The most important part about being a nanny...
So many! A few that come to mind are making mushroom houses out of construction paper, telling fantastical stories about mythological creatures before bed time, and directing a theatrical skit about witches and potions for the talent show. Children's imaginations truly know no bounds and I love to learn about the little worlds they dream up.
