The most important part about being a nanny is the safety and happiness of the children. The children are my priority when I am with them and my job is to make sure that they are properly taken care of and treated with respect.
My experience with special needs children...
I babysat for my Godfather for about 3 years and his youngest son was on the autism spectrum and almost non verbal. I built a relationship with him that helped us get through our days together and have a good time. It was hard at first but I understood and I was patient!
