A little bit about me

Hello,
I am from Tulsa, Oklahoma. I have worked with children of all ages for roughly 15 years. Currently, I work with 4 year olds in a daycare. Previously, I was a full-time nanny to two for 6 months before I had to move to Indiana. Before that, I was a summer nanny to two for 6 years, starting when they were 2 and 5 years old. For three years, I was also a 5th grade teacher, so yes, I can handle most anything!

I plan the day to progress your child's development physically, emotionally, and academically through play and creative outlets. I love arts and crafts and music. I like to follow a schedule (as loose or tight as you'd like) to keep the day filled with activities and getting up to move. I do follow the child's cues though as sometimes they just need time to relax and chill.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been in childcare in some form or another for nearly 20 years now. I have worked with children from 0-13 years, but mainly those 6 months to 5 years.

I am currently a head teacher in a 3 year old classroom in Osceola. I was a summer nanny to two from [phone number hidden]. During this time, I was also finishing school, then teaching 5th grade for 3 years. I was also most recently a nanny to a 5 and 3 year old from September 2020-February 2021.
I am CPR and First Aid trained (renewed June 3, 2021) and have my own transportation.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I believe in learning through play, especially for little ones. I love seeing little ones hit milestones simply because they have a wonderful support system. As they get older, I love spending equal amounts of time outside playing (or up and moving- dancing, etc.) or doing arts and crafts. I like having a day not only full of fun for the little one, but also educational (which, of course, looks different at each stage of life).
