I love doing arts and crafts and am a fan of any kind of games be that board game or video! Also always up for anything out doors be that just a good hike or walk or maybe something like biking or soccer! Anything is honestly fun when we can teach it to each other!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Knowing that you are taking care of and protecting and making an impression on something so precious. That the parent/guardian and child are giving you a level of trust that is a gift and it is to be treated with all the seriousness and respect and effort it deserves. Making sure you have that in mind in everything you do as a nanny.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think my favorite moment was when I was watching three kids aged about 10, 4, and 3 and they're parents had just recently moved and where planning on bringing a large load of stuff over in the next hour or so. They had people to help them move and so basically I just needed to keep the kids out of the way for a while. Around the apartment there was a large rock bed with lots of little stones of varying sizes, and so I gathered them all up and I showed them those little rock towers you could build. Immediately they were out to find the best rocks possible all each determined to make the coolest rock tower to show everyone after the moving was done. We stayed off to the side and they would each run up to me every once in a while to show me a really cool rock and get approval and it was so adorable watching what each of them decided to grab and how they went about making the towers. It's something I also participated in, and how wonderful when kids make you feel young again!
