Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
For two years I have been working as a cafeteria and recess aid at an elementary school where I manage and monitor children's, grades three through five, behavior on the playground, in the cafeteria, and in classrooms daily. I handle any issues that arise; reporting to the teacher on student progress, behavior, and social skills; performing first aide duties; the ability to adapt to any situation; and the ability to be patient.
I have been babysitting for nine years for a multitude of families and have enjoyed every bit of it.
I also worked at the YMCA as a Lifeguard from 2019 to 2020. Along with supervising the pool deck I also interacted with the kids and their families. I helped plan and collaborated with other YMCA employees to lead holiday themed parties and activities for YMCA members and their families. Including my favorite, the haunted house we created in the locker room. I got to dress up and spook the children, we all had a blast.

Some of my favorite things to do with children are having dance parties, playing make believe, playing dress up, crafting, painting, board games, bike riding, swimming, hiking, exploring the woods, going to the park.
The most important part about being a nanny...
What matters most to me about being a nanny being able to watch a child grow in real-time, the ability to support them, teach them new things and celebrate early experiences they have in life. It is one of the most rewarding experience I've had. Not only that I love to see their smiles.
