My first nanny job was for an 11-year-old girl who was on the autism spectrum, and then I was a nanny for a family with three children (6,4, and 1) from the time I was 16-18 and left to go to school. During college, I worked as a teacher at a STEM program center called Bricks for Kids. During the summers, however, I volunteered for two weeks at a summer camp for children with disabilities and nannied for another family with two girls (8 and 6). At Bricks for Kids I had a special place in my heart for our preschool friends and loved all the opportunities I had to teach our preschool class! As a camp counselor, I love to spend time outdoors and have no problem getting messy if the situation calls for it (like exploring a creek or playing in the sandbox!) I have been very cautious during this pandemic as I am type 1 diabetic. I also have experience in teaching, so I would be happy to help with distance learning and extra practice!
