Hello!
My name is Raevyn Mares, and I am eighteen years old. I am a senior in high school at Atrisco Heritage Academy. I am a straight A student and care much about my grades and school.
I am a kind, and playful person! I have always been so welcoming to meeting new people and friends! I am very bubbly and loving to anyone I know.
For as long as can remember, I have always had connection with kids! I love to play and watch movies but I also love to teach. I am open to any activity, such as going for walks, playing at a playground, and coloring! Anything! But it is my main responsibility to create a safe place for the kids, I ensure the children feel safe and welcomed to me. I am very playful but I always have responsibility. My first nanny job was watching my little cousins for over six years and have great experience. I cooked, clean and played with them for half their life!

I have watched my little cousins for over six years. They’re ages are between 6-15, but I would care for them when they were a bit younger! I would play, make them meals, and read them books constantly!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is not only playing and having fun but also teaching the children about new things. I feel that if I can add purpose to a child’s learning, I have accomplished something great.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a disabled mother, who has a traumatic brain injury. She lost almost half her brain due to a tragic car accident. She may not be a child, but shortly after her car accident, she was a child. She had to learn everything all over again. How to count, spell her name, and even tie her shoes. My mother needed intense therapy to help her regain her memories. I helped her learn what she had lost. I had to help her walk, sometimes eat, and help her change her clothes. I helped her remember to even remember my name. She is a strong woman, and I am so lucky to have her here today.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was taking care of my cousins. We were playing with their barbies and my cousin said “thank you for playing with me.” That made me feel like a child again, because she was so happy I played with her and I felt I had a purpose. My purpose was just to make my cousins happy, and if playing “Barbie goes to the mall with her friends” I will.
