More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I nannied throughout undergrad for about 4-5 years. I have been a visitation supervisor working with children that have been taken out of the home. I have also taught nurturing parenting classes! I currently work as a teacher and discharge planner for an adolescent DD rehab facility.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to explore the outdoors whenever it’s possible, going to parks, playgrounds, Zoo and nature areas. When the weather does not allow for outside play I love to engage children in crafts and other indoor activities like museums, play houses. Anything to get their imagination going!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Showing up and ensuring to build a connection with both parents and kiddos. I believe it is really important to be an access to the family and a branch off of the values, wishes, and household rules that parents have in place. I think communication and allowing the kiddos to be themselves while in my care is important to me as I would like to hold space for them to feel safe, secure, and authentic.

My experience with special needs children...

I have nannied for a family with 3 boys who were on the Autism spectrum. I also worked as an RBT for about six months before deciding that I wasn’t ready to be away from my daughter full time.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I told the kiddos I was nannying that I was pregnant. They were only 4 and 2 but they were so excited and full of questions. The entire pregnancy they were so sweet and concerned. When I had my daughter and they were able to meet here I actually had to put a timer on so that they could take turns holding her ALL DAY LONG lol.
