A little bit about me

Hi families! I have been in the childcare field for 7+ years. In the past I have been a babysitter, camp counselor, preschool teacher, assistant teacher and a part time and full time nanny and been in nanny shares for a few different families. I have experience with all kinds of children including special needs care with kids with autism/on the spectrum, Down syndrome, behavioral disorders, premature infants etc. I also have experience with sleep training, promoting age appropriate schedules and meeting milestones. I’m a hands on nanny and love growing with not only the children but also the family. I bring a creative and nurturing presence to my work. Adventures is something I find joy in whether it’s going to the park, splash pads, play dates, story time, or sensory play. Being a childcare provider is more than a job for me it’s what I love to do and I take pride in it!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I completed an ECE program which included being a part time teacher for preschool/mothers morning out program. I also interned at an elementary for kindergarten, have been a tutor and volunteered as a summer camp counselor.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing all kinds of activities with littles. Sensory play is a big hit for infants and toddlers. I also enjoy doing tons of arts and crafts with older kids. In the warmer months I enjoy going to the park, splash pads and water parks.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny to me is being able to connect and bond with different personalities and getting to get to know and grow with each child on different levels. Being able to comfort and create a safe place to develop and learn life is also very important. A nanny is an extension of family not just a job!

My experience with special needs children...

I have tons of special needs care especially with children diagnosed with autism/on the spectrum. My other experience is with behavioral problems, learning disabilities, Down syndrome, ADD/ADHD etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is from this past summer when I took my past nanny kids to the pool and taught them (girl 5 and boy3) to swim independently after they were scared to even leave the steps of the pool. The look of excitement across their faces was like no other!
