I was a behavioral therapist for children with special needs and behavioral problems. The canter I worked at is called Play date behavioral interventions.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

- When doing learning and teaching activities I’ll use Montessori skills so it’s child lead in the activities the child wants to engage in
- board games
- arts and crafts
- reading/ going to the library
- plays toys with them
- Playing any inside/ at home games (tag, hide and seek, freeze dance, musical chairs, building forts, floor is lava, etc)
- going to parks
- going to pools/ splash pads
- going to museums/ event centers
- if their of age letting them help in the kitchen (cooking/ baking) for safety reasons
- any physical therapy/ exercise (jump rope, basketball, volleyball, soccer, yoga, running, obstacle courses, etc)

The most important part about being a nanny...

To make sure the children feel safe and comfortable with their nanny, the activities they will be doing and making sure they are well fed and have good hygiene. Having trust with the child builds a bond and that bond helps the baby have instructional control with the child.

My experience with special needs children...

I’ve cared for physically handicapped children, children on the spectrum from level 1 to level 3 autism. Children with behavioral problems that’s dangerous to them or others. Children with delayed speech and required AAC Devices.
