Hello! My name is Rebecca, I recently graduated with a Bachelor's in Psychology, and am currently pursuing my Master's in Clinical Counseling at CSU. My ultimate goal is to become a children's Psychologist- which means I have centered the majority of my education around child and adolescent development whenever possible. I have experience with children of all ages, and love to interact with crafts and activities! I am also okay with light cleaning, laundry, dishes, and even occasional grocery shopping when needed. I look forward to finding a long-term family to work with in Columbus.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked in a day care from August 2019-March of 2020 (when covid shut it down.) I was the primary after-school teacher for approximately 20 children ages k-6 each day. I guided them in group games, helped with homework, and monitored free-play.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is engaging with the children. Parents are fully capable of sticking their child in front of a television or tablet while they work, but the whole purpose of a nanny is to have someone to give them attention and direction during those hours the parent is unable to. Most children, in my experience, just want to be heard and seen regaurdless of the activity.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked with one child who has special needs, as well as one who has down syndrome. Both were very positive experiences!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment has been caring for my first infant. I have been watching her every day since she was five months old and seeing a child grow and learn so many new things each day has been an incredible experience.
