I am both a religious teacher, and a caretaker in churches for 10+ years, I work with both non special needs kids and special needs kids.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I can take kids to the park, play in the yard, play both inside hide and seek, play dolls, cars, study time helping the kids understand, play forts, or whatever fun activities with children, I’ll make sure they get limited to none screen time preferring what the parents want.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I would say the most important part about being a nanny to me is one making sure that the parents and children’s needs are met and seeing that the parents and the children are positive and happy with my work not only that but a huge great impact on both the parents and children’s life
My experience with special needs children...
Yes I am always able to adapt to any from of schedules, routines if the child has gotten their routine I would calmly tell them to close their eyes go into a happy place, and when they relax and they adapt to the change or at least try to I will give them positive reinforcement like give them a healthy sweet treat, give them a prize or if I don’t have the healthy snack or toy I will be something with the child they would love to do for example play dragons, dolls, or watch a PG movie.
