Hi! I'm Regina! 💜

I'm outgoing, warm, playful, and have a great sense of humor! I absolutely love working with children, especially elementary-aged kids. I spent three years working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing elementary students and now work with Deaf and Hard of Hearing high school students, so I have experience with a wonderful variety of ages and personalities!

One of the fun things about me is my love of languages! I know American Sign Language (ASL), speak conversational German, and know some Tagalog and Spanish. I love sharing little bits of language and culture with children!

I'm CPR and First Aid certified, patient, dependable, and always up for a good laugh, a fun game, or a little adventure. I love making genuine connections with children and being someone they're excited to see!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have previous experience working as a nanny, along with several years of experience working with children in educational and recreational settings.

I spent three years working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing elementary school students and currently work as an ASL Signing Aide with Deaf and Hard of Hearing high school students. I've also worked with first and second graders in the Champions after-school program and as a camp counselor.

I love working with children of different ages and personalities, building genuine connections, and making their time with me fun and memorable! I'm also CPR and First Aid certified and have an Associate degree in Deaf Studies.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing arts and crafts with kids! Painting, coloring, making jewelry, decorating things, and doing fun holiday projects are some of my favorites. I especially love seeing what kids come up with when they get to use their imaginations!

I also enjoy playing board games, baking cookies, reading together, and just being silly and having fun. I have a great sense of humor, and I love when everyone is laughing and having a good time.

I love getting out of the house, too! Going to the beach, visiting amusement parks, spending time at local parks, or planning a fun little outing are all things I enjoy. I'm just as happy spending an afternoon doing crafts as I am taking the kids somewhere fun and making some great memories together!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think one of the most important things about being a nanny is making sure the kids look forward to date night just as much as their parents do! I want them to be excited when they hear I'm coming over because they know we're going to have fun!

I love finding little ways to make things educational, whether we're doing crafts, playing games, or trying something new. More than anything, I want kids to feel heard, appreciated, and loved. I think it's so important to really listen to children and take an interest in the things that matter to them.

I don't believe in sitting on my phone while the kids entertain themselves. I love being involved, laughing together, and making sure everyone has a great time while Mom and Dad enjoy their night out!

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite memories is from when I was a nanny for a little girl named Alaina. She was three years old, and one morning we were making pancakes together. She looked up at me with the most serious expression and said, “Miss Regina, these pancakes are too spicy!” 😂 I couldn't stop laughing! I still laugh whenever I think about it. Those are the little moments I absolutely love about working with kids!
