Caring for younger siblings as well as being a certified caregiver and caring for a 5 year old autistic child . I started babysitting as my first job when I was 14 and have been babysitting since. I also have been a nanny for a single mother with 2 boys under the age of 10 and a new born .
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I am an artist so I love to paint ,draw, color, conduct little art classes is my favorite . I also enjoy nature I love to take the kids to the park , on lots of nature walks , swimming , easy hiking , looking for cool rocks truly whatever I love being outside running around . I am also a musician so I love singing ,dancing ,karaoke , playing dress up , getting some choregaphy together and putting on a mini performance (my favorite thing as a child ). My special skills are taking your Childs interests and passions and making activities where they can have the most fun and be the happiest doing the things the love . I do have a very calm demeanor and have been successful at behavioral therapy when it was needed . I love to give children tons and tons of positive reinforcement and try to have the best day/night with them every time I have the chance to be with them .
The most important part about being a nanny...
I will be taking care of your child in a way where I am always listening to them , their needs and wants always . They will be heard and taken seriously by me no matter what . Safety is so important with little angels which is why I've gone through training for emergency situations as well as maintaining a perfect driving record . When your children are in my care my world revolves around them and we are completely immersed for our time together usually ,my full attention is with them and on them .Parents and guardians often have busy schedules and need as much help as they can . It is my goal to make the parents life as easy as I possible . I love to help with housework ,laundry ,dishes ,prepping next day outfits or meals . Whatever I can do so that even when I am not there I can still help in small ways . I believe a combination of both providing children with the best care possible and working with the parents/guardians closely is the most important part of being a nanny .
My experience with special needs children...
I have been a caregiver before and my first client was a 5 year old boy with autism . He was quite the handful but one of the most intelligent children . I started my day waking him up , getting him dressed and making him breakfast. He had a full regiment of schooling we went through with several nature breaks worked in . I would drive him all the time to indoor jungle gyms for more sensory activities . This job was almost full care 7 days a week 7am -6pm . It was a lot of work but we became best friends instantly and it was rewarding in so many ways . I have also had experience in caring for young adults with down syndrome .

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is so hard ! There are so many beautiful moments I have experienced but I would have to say ONE of my favorite nanny moments was a very hot day when I was living in Arizona. Setting the sprinkler up in the back yard just to run through it over and over . It seems so simple but it brought back so many childhood memories for me I was nearly in tears while rolling around in the grass and jumping over the water holding hands . Seeing the kids smiling so much with little grass in there hair , it was a beautiful wholesome moment for me . The sprinkler became like an everyday activity during the summer they loved it so much . What made it even more special to me was that the children gifted me a sprinkler when I departed from them so that I would always remember them . That nearly broke my heart but made this my favorite memory / nanny moment .
