I worked as a teacher for some time at a daycare in the town I live in. I also have been a foster sister to many children through my mother and assisted with the growth and development of family members.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Going to the zoo I always fun. Playing the the park or going on a short hike or picnic depending on the age of the child. The science center is both fun and educational allowing for the greats of both. Arts and crafts are my specialty and I would love to teach the children how to express themselves with art.
My experience with special needs children...
I have 3 autistic cousins ranging between extremely autistic and minimal as well as foster brother who is nonverbal. And I have experience with children with SIDS or require full time care.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe my favorite moment was when I was babysitting for my sister and decided to take my niece and nephews to the science center. Being able to see the light in their eyes as they learned about history in their own fun way made the world. Even more so when my baby nephew told his mommy about it later
