A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Ria Shew, and I’m a 23-year-old college junior with a big heart for little ones. Originally from India, I’ve been living in the U.S. for six years and speak and write English fluently. I absolutely love spending time with kids — their curiosity, creativity, and sense of wonder make every moment special.
I always try to bring a fun, caring, and patient energy to everything I do. Whether we’re doing arts and crafts, reading a favorite story, dancing to music, or just playing outside, I aim to make each activity both engaging and enjoyable. I remember what it was like to be a kid — how even the simplest games could turn into big adventures — and I try to bring that same joy and imagination into the time I spend with children.
In my free time, I enjoy painting, reading, being outdoors, and discovering new things — all hobbies I love sharing with the kids I care for. I'm dependable, creative, and genuinely passionate about making sure every child feels safe, happy, and heard.

The most important part about being a nanny...

What matters most about being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. It’s not just about keeping them entertained or following routines — it’s about building trust, supporting their growth, and being a steady, positive presence in their world. Every laugh, scraped knee, curious question, or quiet moment matters. As a nanny, you’re helping shape little hearts and minds, and that’s both a privilege and a responsibility I deeply value.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite memories was the day I organized a little scavenger hunt for three kids, filled with toys, bubbles, and shiny chocolate coins. They were all so excited, darting around with giggles and wide-eyed wonder. The oldest boy found most of the treasures right away, but when he saw that his younger brother hadn’t found as much, he quietly tucked away some of his own discoveries and joined him on the hunt — cheering him on and helping him find the hidden magic. It was such a sweet, selfless moment, and it reminded me how beautiful it is when kids show kindness in their own special way.

Babysitter Available in Ocala, FL: Jennifer H.

I am a retired nurse of 25 years and have mainly worked in the Pediatric and Newborn departments of the hospital. I find that even though the adults around me may not think so, babies and children love when I sing to them. Lol. I am very easygoing and very flexible with any changes that occur. I have lived in Florida for the better part of almost 30 years. I love to swim, read, surf, and spend time with my family and friends. I am the mom to an amazing 30 year old who lives in Iowa.

Debrielle F. - Seeking Work in Ocala

Part-Time Nanny Available in Ocala, FL: Debrielle F.

Hey! I’m Debrielle :) I grew up in a big family of 8, and as one of the oldest, I was basically the built-in babysitter — so I’ve been around kids my whole life. I’ve taken care of babies, toddlers, and older kids, and I enjoy it!

I’ve also worked with kids at the Boys and Girls Club and helped lead and teach kids church with all age groups. I love music, singing, and finding fun, creative ways to keep kids engaged and happy. I ensure nothing but safety and care just as you would!

Right now, I’m a college student pursing my degree, but I still make time for babysitting because I truly have a heart for children — especially babies and toddlers! I’m reliable, patient, and love making little ones feel safe, cared for, and entertained.

Can’t wait to meet your family!
