More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was perviously a gymnastics coach for a few years. I taught a wide range of ages of the gymnast. Youngest was 2, all the way up to 12-14 (depended on the class). Being a coach taught me a lot of how to work with particularly young children. I also learned how to have a lot of patience and compassion for young kids as well.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love participating in many activities with kids. Whether its an outside or indoor activities. In general I love participating in physical activities like different types of sports. I also love doing creative activities like arts and crafts.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is having not only a connection with the kids but with the family. To be someone that the family can count on to be in their corner and support what ever they need. It is also important to me that all children in my care understand that I am there to being someone they can count on as well.
My experience with special needs children...
I don't have any professional experience working with special needs kids but I did work with special needs kids while I was in school. I also do have other personal experience with special needs because I, myself have adhd so I have an understanding of what it's like living on the spectrum. I also have family members with other special needs as well.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I don't think this moment is exclusive to nannying but something that always puts a smile on my face is when a child gravitate to me. If a child feels comfortable that they want to be with me or want me to hold them makes me feel like I've done a good job making them feel safe.
