A little bit about me

Hi! My names Riley and I am looking for a child care position for Summer 2025:) I am 26 and living in Foxboro. I graduated from Wheaton College in 2021 with my Masters in Psychology and Education. After college, I worked in the Norfolk Elementary School for 3 years as an Applied Behavior Analyst as well as a Registered Behavior Analyst in a Global Developmental Delay and Autism Program with preschool through 2nd grade aged students. I absolutely adored this position and miss my kiddos so much. I then transitioned into Early Intervention as a Developmental Specialist where I worked for almost a year. Here I worked with newborns to 3 doing home visits for a variety of developmental needs. Ultimately, this position and my previous position encouraged me to return to school to get my Master’s in Speech and Language Pathology which I am working towards today:) I am currently working at the Igo Elementary School in Foxboro as a 4th grade teaching aid while I focus on school.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

-ABA/RBT preschool-2nd grade (3 years)
-Early Intervention Developmental Specialist (newborn-3)
-4th grade Teaching Aid

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Learning through play!! I love organizing crafts, movement activities (being outside!) and small adventures (playgrounds, wards berry farm(love), going on walks) Experiences are so important for a child’s development as well as creating a relationship and trust.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part is the child’s comfort and safety. With my prior experience and knowledge of child development, it is also important to encourage independence and routine.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked in a Developmental Delay and Autism Program for 3 years with children with Autism and behavioral issues. I especially enjoyed working with non-verbal students currently using an AAC device or working on exposure to alternative communication.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite memory from working with kids is when one of my autistic students who did not like physical touch and was very weary of people gave me a hug. I felt so much joy that I had built trust and relationship with him that allowed him to feel comfortable enough to show affection.
