A little bit about me

Hi families, I am an educator with 9+ years of experience working in Early Childhood. From [phone number hidden] I studied Child Development at GRCC where I obtained a degree in the field. In 2019 I gave birth to my now 6 year old son. Getting back to work, I worked for the Boys & Girls Club in Grand Rapids (nonprofit org. that provides various services for children & families in the community) for 2 years during COVID. To further expand my skills, I went to work for the YMCA as a lead preschool teacher for almost 3 years before moving on to work briefly for Head Start. I’ve spent time nannying for a 2 year old & their 2 older siblings which included light housework, meal prep & implementing developmentally appropriate activities. Last year I worked as a sub teacher in the Grand Rapids area spending time in the MOCI/ASD rooms, art, gym, & K-5th grade classrooms. I currently work as a before & after school site director for a K-8 school & I’m looking for something to fill my time during the day.

When I first started nannying a few summers ago, about a month into the role, the family went on a trip and didn’t need my services for a day so they gave me the day off. This child I was nannying for was sad they didn’t get to see me and when I returned for my next shift it was the first time they ran to me and jumped in my arms to give me a hug.
