A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Rose. I have over 10 years of experience providing care for children of all ages, youth, and young adults. I have volunteered in Montessori learning centers and believe strongly in the Maria Montessori method.

I also enjoy and have experience working with little humans who are in need of extra care, either physically or developmentally. I believe patience and consistency is key. I currently hold a medical license, CPR/BLS certification, as well as bi-lingual.

More About Me

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Exploration! Of all sorts in nature, in the home working on projects, through play, reading, or simply just holding conversation letting the mind work. And of course that also means being in tune when it is time to rest and relax. I think it's sometimes forgotten that just like adults need some R&R; children do as well. That can look like slow down time with gentle listening, quiet play, naps, or simply being in company with them helping cultivate a space for slowing down.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Consistent open communication. If that cannot be established early on in any relationship, it will lead to trouble in the future. I ask for this when working with families and you can expect the same.

My experience with special needs children...

I have volunteered in classrooms as extra support for the teachers and children, I have worked in day programs, I have been a private care taker for families in their homes. Over the past 10+ years I have found, that working with children or any individual with special needs has been one of the most rewarding things I have done throughout my life. I can say yes, it is a tough area and can be challenging at times but communication is a MUST. Knowing this has made my time working in this area very rewarding all around.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I cant pick just one, but I will say every moment I have experienced where I have been able to provide assistance or peace of mind to the families I am working for feels amazing. Every moment of comfort, enjoyment, silliness, and laughter are priceless. I will also say every hard moment I have experienced either with the family or the child/individual that we have all been able to overcome together have also been gifts in learning and connecting further.

Rebecca S. - Seeking Work in Denver

Part-Time Nanny Available in Denver, CO: Rebecca S.

My name is Rebecca, and I recently moved to Denver, settling in the Platt Park area.

I am a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) with 4 years of experience, and I have over 8 years of experience in child care. Most recently, I had the pleasure of working with a family caring for their two children: a 4-year-old and an infant who is now a year old. This experience has equipped me with the skills to provide compassionate, responsible, and attentive care for children of various ages.

In addition, I am currently in school pursuing my RN, with clinicals starting in January. While I expect my availability to vary at that time, I am confident that I can work with you to create a schedule that meets both of our needs. For now, I have a flexible schedule and would love to discuss the hours you're looking for and how I can best support your family's needs.
