A little bit about me

Im the youngest of six, with many nieces and nephews. Ive been taking care of children, toddlers and infants since I was 8 years old. I worked with a Family Resource center in Colorado, where I taught Strengthening Families to 7-11 year olds, which helps to create healthy coping skills and emotional understanding within themselves as well as helps them to develop skills to help them manage tough situations. I am also in culinary school, via Escoffier. I am a tidy and clean person, with no issues cleaning or helping out in the kitchen.

What matters to me about being a nanny, is being a strong role model and trusted adult for kids to find safety in and comfort. Children are the future of our world, and deserve to grow up feeling whole and prepared for anything the world throws their way.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment working with kids was during my first round of teaching strengthening families. I had a little boy who had come into our program who often struggled with regulating his emotions and coping with what was going on in his life, but while working with him one on one, he began to show so much progress. The same shy little boy who would barely interact with the rest of the class, began talking to everyone and taking part in discussions. To this day, I have all of the drawings he did for me saved because of the impact he had on me.
