A little bit about me

I'm a psychology and cognitive science major at UMD with specific interest in child development. I am looking to earn my masters degree with the goal of becoming a School Psychologist. I have always enjoyed being around kids, and I deeply value creating genuine relationships with the children that I am able to care for. I have a part time job Expanding Horizons where I work as a Behavior Specialist to provide care for adults with mental illnesses, developmental disorders, and brain damage. I am looking to work more hours this summer and have an extremely flexible work schedule to provide cater assistance to where needed.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have experience caring for children starting in middle school. I have been able to work with a variety of families and been able to work with a range of different ages, group sizes, and genders (with groups as large as 7 children; ages 2-7). I have also worked as a volunteer at child care establishments through Youth Works. In these experiences I worked together with children to help strengthen any educational and personal goals that may be of interest.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I am a strong believer of the importance of physical activity and creativity. Theres nothing more that I love than getting outside and moving. I am all for the unique play-pretend games that keep the kids and I off devices. I also love to get crafty, and will gladly engage in any artistic pursuits requested.
