A little bit about me

Hi! I'm Rubiya! I'm 18. I have experience with special needs children as I helped them when I was in elementary school. I do know how to give CPR but I'm not certified. I have experience with diaper changing,and putting to bed children under 5 as well as helping children under the age of 10 with their homework. I also have experience with keeping up to 5 kids at a time calm, entertained, and quiet(Or keep the noise at minimum). I personally feel that when looking after a child you have to develop a bond with that child so they can want to listen to you rather than bossing the child around and telling her/him/them what to do I also feel that everyone deserves to be heard and understood. I have experience with kids who have ADHD and depression and even if it can be challenging I feel that kids with disorders deserve to be treated equally and humanely. I'm black mixed. I don't support racism of any kind. I do support people who are LGBTQIA+ though I am straight. That's a little about me!

I have helped special needs children under the age of 14 with math, science, arts & crafts, and history. I also have experience with helping special needs kids with their episodes(Whether it was a panic attack, an anger fit, or depression episode)

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have 3 favorite babysitting moments.
1.)When the 4 year old girl I was watching cried because I had to use the bathroom and when I asked her why was she crying she said it was because she missed watching TV with me( I had left her on the couch really quick)
2.)When I was babysitting this baby boy( I forgot if he was 1 or 2) and he fell asleep on my shoulder and his mom came home before I laid him in bed and when his mom took him from me to lay him down he started crying and reached for me and I had to put him back to sleep as he laid on my shoulder then lay him down.
3.)When I was looking after this 3 year old girl and I remember I had just put her down for her nap and was looking after her baby brother as he watched TV and played with his toy and 5 minutes later she comes out her room and runs to me crying and when I picked her up and hugged her she laid her head on my shoulder and I asked what's wrong and she said she thought I left her and she didn't want me to leave.
