Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a Lifeguard summer of 2018 while also babysitting throughout that summer and I worked with kids at the pool I worked at. It was a tight knit community with a pool in the center in Annapolis and I got to know a lot of the kids from the neighborhood. I of course had to watch over them in the pool but I had conversations with these kids, played games in the pool with them. I got to build real connections with the kids and their parents. It was a trusting, loving community, and I had a lot of fun that summer.

I get to build close connections and relationships with these kids. They are able to trust me knowing they are safe in my hands. I love being able to be a kid in my own ways as well when I have this time with them.

Last year I got to nanny for a two year old and he loved to play soccer. I’m not much of a runner or sports player but it’s a very fond memory of mine running around in their backyard with this soccer ball just acting like a kid again with him.
