I now am married and a mom to a 3.5 month old and have sat for over 15 families! I was CPR and FirstAid certified but it has expired willing to redo it for a family that requires it.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I serve in children’s ministry at my church! I also have school related experience with children. We had a program my senior year where we got to go to the elementary and help teachers with their classes. I got the opportunity to help in a kindergarten class and help them with their day to day activities. Now I have my own son to care for day to day :)

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I try to limit screen time as much as possible! I am an avid encourager of creativity and activities outside of tablet time! I always enjoy playing dress up, crafts, playing outside, going to the park, and other fun activities. Really anything that’s away from the screen is up my alley! Although, I think screens can be beneficial especially with a really tough day and do allow some screen time! Really whatever the parent is comfortable with :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

I want to make the most impact on their little lives in the time that I have with them! I want to make sure I’m there to encourage and support them! I want to make sure that I am someone they can rely on and trust. I want to be someone who they look up to and remember. I want to be able to offer words of wisdom and knowledge! Ultimately, I want them to have the best time with me and keep them safe doing it! It means the world to me when the kids I watch tell me how much they love me and how I’m the best babysitter. One little girl I watched wrote me a note that said, “I love you you are just like mommy.” Just my absolute favorite thing ever to know I’m making a positive impact on these kids lives! I hope to be the nanny they remember 10 years down the road. That still has a bond with them after I am done nannying! It’s more than just a job to me it’s my passion!

My experience with special needs children...

My cousin Katie has Down syndrome! I got the opportunity a couple years ago to watch her a couple days a week for about 8 hours a day! I don’t have a ton of in depth special needs care experience. But, I do have some and I have plenty of patience, care, compassion, and love to tend to every need!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment(s) would be the times these two little boys I watch would take my phone and record videos for me. They would tell me how much they loved me and thought I was the best babysitter! Just anytime kids have written me sweet notes or expressed their appreciation for me is my absolute favorite! I’d also say when the little kids I watch want me to pray for them and or pray out loud. Watching a 3 year old pray is the sweetest thing ever and makes my heart so full! These moments definitely make nannying less of a job and more of a lifestyle! Kids are my passion and I’m so grateful for the opportunities I get to be with them and care for them!
