Hi! My name is Sahara and I'm a Biology and Studio art college student in the Atlanta area! I have worked with kids since I was 14, including in school settings. I was a teacher and teachers assistant at a private school for several years, and have several years of experience working with special needs students. I also worked as the assistant director of children's programming at a country club for several years. So what does that mean for you and your kids? My job was helping with schoolwork and coming up with fun activities for kids, so I have lots of ideas for boredom busters and homework help experience! I worked as a teachers assistant and STEM teacher for three years at a small private school. During my time at the school I worked with special needs students. I also was the assistant director of children’s programming at Cartersville Country Club where I watched children and planned fun activities for kids!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing outside with kids, doing at home science experiments, playing board games, dolls and legos. I’m an avid baker and so making easy meals together and baking is always fun! I love to read as well, and planning fun activities and movie nights with crafts and cool snacks!

I did a two year internship with Lioncrest farms which provides hippotherapy for children with autism. I also worked for 2 years in a special needs classroom as a teachers assistant and STEM teacher.
